Today we had breakfast with Paz de la Huerta… morning tea with les prairies… lunch with disco legend Cerrone and afternoon lied in the sun with Justin Long a perfect blend of hunk and intellectualism as he read Vonnegut in the sun… is this not the most perfect day ? Actually we’re not done… a day at the beach is not complete without a game of water rugby a non existent sport that is up until now… highlights of the match below the pictures speak a thousand words of fun. Prize of the day: Rebecca Leffler, winner of the cutest band-aid in the world award.

Oh Lio… we love Lio…. not the little bald guy that owns le Baron although we love him too, but I’m talking about the delightfully beautiful hibiscus tattooed singer best known for songs such as Banana Split a legend in French music culture. Lio had lunch on the beach today with her equally beautiful daughter Nubia….  Here are some experimental shots by our very favourite photographer Virgili Jubero…

It was a dance-athon today at the beach. We had the honour of being visited by prima ballerina from the San Francisco Ballet Maria Kochtekova. She treated us to a divine display of grace which, coupled with the colours of le Grand Bizarre, became a living David la Chapelle photograph.
Nubia was shot for Technikart and can also be seen being instructed in some arabesques and Noemie Lenoir was also at the beach doing a charity event and being wrapped in some strange netting… it was all about the glamazons and danceathons.

It was an all star Paris cast at the after party for Alain Resnais film “Les herbes folles” on the beach. Thierry Ardisson was amongst those that came to pay hommage to the aging film director but was outshone by glamour queen and ultimate tastemaker Carine Roitfeld from French Vogue looking dazzling in black on the beach… tres chic tres Parisienne…

Our friends from Quiksilver drove over all the way from Biarritz for a visit, bringing with them some paddle boards, the latest craze amongst Hollywood celebs right now. Its basically a long board with a paddle hence paddle board the name …genius. The idea is to stand on the board and paddle, again very simple but actually much harder than it looks as it’s a full body balancing act. So having said this please note I did say the “idea” is to stand… the photos that follow are an attempt to document one of the most absurd and hilarious things we’ve ever witnessed at the beach. Paddle board relay races team 1: Le Grand Bizarre, a team made up of eccentric and very skinny performance artists with Velvet D’amour as their cheerleader. Team 2: Quintessential made up of some very well built english rugby types. Yes it hardly seems like a fair race… well the outcome was surprising to say the least… with some shameless cheating and unique paddling styles le Grand Bizarre beat the pants off the well built “hunks”…. amazing.
Big up to Florian and Brett from Quiksilver this was the best fun we’ve had all week!

Loads of fun people on the beach today, most notably heiress Paris Hilton who came down to host a beach party at sun down. Sighted amongst the day crew looking peachy was the lovely Peaches dining as well as the Mia from LA trying her luck out on the water. There were also new gifts from Bumble and Bumble hair products that Marc Emmanuel gave away with glee. It was however sad to say good bye to super blogger Mai who flew off to Tokyo today, you will be missed at the beach.

Our favourite performance artists from Paris Le Grand Bizarre have just arrived in Cannes bringing with them a breath of fresh air, a bevy of colourful characters and 3 tonnes of vintage costumes. Their first landing spot was of course the vitaminwater beach, led by burlesque artist Pauline Jacquard, Fifi Chachnil’s muse. Although we did enjoy the faux Britney headscarf look, star of the day however was without a doubt the beautiful all round glamour girl “Velvet D’Amour” best known for her runway performances on the Jean Paul Gaultier catwalks. We were treated us to a small impromptu performance that left beach goers quite frankly speechless!

Recovery by day, Mayhem by Night…
We took it easy on the beach, getting beautified and ready for the evenings exploits. Lionel from Le Baron had some fun paddle boarding whilst the girls laid back and got some pampering.
The film crew from Nowhere Boy, based on the teenage years of John Lennon decided to honour us by hosting their party at the beach. It was a star studded event with Ryan Philippe as well as Sam Wood the films director and cast.
Paris Hilton came down to dazzle with some very big diamonds but the most dazzling our favourite Beatle offspring Julian Lennon who had a very surreal evening meeting the actors that play his parents and friends.

Feride from Uslu airlines landed today to give us expert tips on how to use airbrush makeup and have us looking as beautiful as young Korean actress…

Rosanna Arquette loved the beach so much she shot her next clip here, at one point the entire restaurant was up dancing, unfortunately we don’t have pics of this cause our photographer Virgili got so caught up in the moment he was dancing too! But you will see proof that it happens very shortly when the clip comes out!

The beach also hosted a cinéma lunch with Bonne Pioche production company’s crew and Luc Jacquet (director of Oscar winner: La Marche de l’Empereur). The day ended in lazy rosé drinking session with all the DJs from Le Baron getting some colour inspiration!

The paparazzi went wild at the vitaminwater beach today as Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz came down to  promote their new film. The cast from Precious spent most of the afternoon having lunch and chatting amidst other stars dining were Ralph Fiennes and the fabulous Rosanna Arquette who has been seen almost every day at the beach scouting locations for her new film clip. The amazingly beautiful and not so desperate wife of Tony Parker, Eva Longoria popped down for a swim with her very tall hubby the lovers canoodling behind coloured parasols on the beach.
By night the beach hosted the “Thirst” party which this year seems to be one of the main contenders for the Palme d’Or, even if they don’t win it they definitely do win our prize for most glamorous look on the beach so far.
